Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ahmad Hussain, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India ("we", "us"), the operator of One Day World. By using One Day World you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use One Day World

You must be at least 18 years old. By using the app you confirm that you are. You may not use One Day World if we have previously banned you.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Apple or Google account secure. You choose a display name, which must follow the Community Guidelines and must not pretend to be another person or organisation.

3. How One Day World works

• Each account may post one message per world day. A world day runs from 00:00 to 23:59 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
• Messages are text only and up to 200 characters.
• To post, you must allow location access. Your message shows your city and country and appears on the map at your city's centre.
• At the end of each world day, all messages are removed from view for everyone.
• Every message is checked automatically before it appears. A message that fails the check is not posted and does not use up your daily message.

4. Your content

You own what you write. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute your message, display name, city and country within One Day World for the purpose of running the service, including keeping hidden copies for up to 30 days for safety review. This licence ends when the message is deleted.

You are solely responsible for your messages. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

5. Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

• Post anything that breaks the Community Guidelines or any law.
• Harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone.
• Post hateful, sexual, violent or extremist content.
• Post advertising, links, contact details or spam.
• Share another person's personal information.
• Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your location on purpose to mislead others.
• Create accounts to get around a suspension or ban, or to post more than once per day.
• Interfere with the app, its servers or its safety systems, or access them by automated means.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove any message, and suspend or ban any account, that we believe breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice. Typical enforcement:

• First confirmed violation: the message is removed and you receive a warning.
• Second confirmed violation: posting is suspended for 7 days.
• Third confirmed violation: permanent ban.
• Severe violations (such as threats of violence, sexual content involving minors, or terrorist content) lead to an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities.

Bans apply to your account and to the device used. Banned users may still read the app but cannot post.

You can appeal any decision by emailing mahmedhussain@outlook.com or using the Appeal button in the app.

7. Reporting and blocking

You can report any message and block any user from inside the app. We review reports and act on them as quickly as we can, normally within 24 hours.

8. Ending your use

You may stop using One Day World and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 6. Sections 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12 continue after your account ends.

9. Disclaimers

One Day World is provided "as is" and "as available". Messages are written by users, not by us, and we do not endorse them. We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or that every harmful message will be caught before others see it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from content posted by other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to One Day World is limited to INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or from content you post.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

13. Intermediary status and grievances

One Day World acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Complaints about content or conduct can be sent to our Grievance Officer, Ahmad Hussain, at mahmedhussain@outlook.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a meaningful change, the app will show the new version and ask you to accept it before you post again.
