Community Guidelines
Effective date: 7 October 2026
One Day World gives everyone one message a day to share with the whole world. These guidelines keep it a place people want to come back to.
Be kind
Write something you would be happy for anyone, anywhere, to read. Disagreement is fine. Cruelty is not.
Not allowed
- Hate. Attacks on people for their religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any similar trait.
- Harassment and threats. Bullying, insults aimed at a person, threats of violence, or wishing harm on anyone.
- Sexual content. Sexual or sexually suggestive messages of any kind. Anything sexualising minors leads to an immediate ban and a report to the authorities.
- Violence and extremism. Praising, promoting or supporting violence, terrorism or violent groups.
- Ads and spam. Advertising, promotions, links, website names, social media handles, phone numbers, emails, or repeated nonsense.
- Personal information. Sharing anyone's private details, such as their address, phone number or workplace.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, a public figure or an organisation.
- Illegal content. Anything that breaks the law, including selling drugs or weapons.
- Self-harm promotion. Encouraging suicide or self-harm. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline.
How enforcement works
Every message is checked automatically before it appears. If a message is held back, you will see why and can edit it. It will not use up your daily message.
When someone reports a message and we confirm it breaks these guidelines:
- 1st time: the message is removed and you get a warning.
- 2nd time: you cannot post for 7 days.
- 3rd time: your account and device are banned from posting.
Severe violations lead to an immediate ban.
